Our journey began with a simple idea: to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility.

It is our mission to join God where He is already at work through partnering with organizations to establish clinics, provide training, equipment and the salaries of local therapists.
HOW IT STARTED
In 2011, Jeff Bekendam was challenged to take his skills to a hospice hospital in a rural village in eastern Kenya.
A trip was planned, and Jeff, Natalie, and Jeff's daughter Alex went to the Living Room (a hospice hospital) and saw firsthand how physical therapy could help so many in need. At the conclusion of that trip, Compassion PT was born, and the dreaming began.

Established as a nonprofit organization, our mission is to make physical therapy services available to underserved communities around the globe.
We understand that injuries and physical challenges can affect anyone, anywhere, and that proper rehabilitation should not be a privilege but a right. That’s why we're dedicated to providing resources, education, and support to those in need.

We are visiting our Mexicali clinic on June 19!
This trip is extensive in not only planning but also in ensuring we are bringing the supplies needed to help empower and educate our staff at this location. Our itinerary includes a full day of non-stop patient care at the clinic.
